Johanna's herbal designs has been in operation since 1998,  is a home based company which is steadily increasing in size. There are now 17 products to choose from.  Special orders to fit your specific needs are available, just phone or e mail. Check this site often for new products, new colours, new packaging. All sizes are approximate as all individually home made. All my prices are in Canadian Dollars and all taxes are included in the price.  Shipping charges are actual cost. 1. COMFORT CUSHIONS - HOT OR COLD-LARGE

Herbal, heated or cooled cozy comfort cushions help anyone with aches and pains due to sore muscles as a result of exercising, gardening, pulled muscles or arthritis. The comfort cushions come in a choice of seven shapes  or sizes. (see pictures below for individual measurements,). The comfort cushion may be used anywhere on the body. Will stay hot for up to 1 - 2 hours when exposed to the air, in your bed or tucked behind you on the sofa will stay warm up 3 - 4 hours. When re heating will take only half the heating time as will still be warm in the middle. Just a few minutes in the microwave gives a long lasting moist heat. The comfort cushions work just as well in the fridge or freezer. They are great to put around the back or in the car on those cold frosty mornings. They are available in a variety of rich colours and patterns and the material used enhances its long life. Each comfort cushion is tied with a ribbon with instructions on the back in English and French.

COMFORT CUSHIONS -  HOT OR COLD - SMALL

These are 12 inches in length and 6 inches wide.  They are perfect for knees, shoulders, hips or anywhere where you just need for a specific spot. They are also available with no scent upon request

COMFORT CUSHION - HOT OR COLD FLAT

These cushions are excellent for laying on. Heat in microwave for less than 3 minutes, or cooled in fridge/freezer for 15 minutes, and they will stay hot/cool in your bed all night. You may also put across your upper or lower back while sitting in lazy boy or on your sofa. Don't forget about that cold car in the winter, or very warm car in summer. That cold seat and back trouble. Just heat in microwave while putting on the winter boots, lift up your jacket and put between your back and cold jacket, hmm wonderful. The lavender scent in the car is just an added bonus. You also have that wonderful uplifting scent of Mint. They are also available with no scent upon request. Below are six colours to choose from. COMFORT CUSHIONS -  FOOT WARMERS:


Foot Warmers are great for bad circulation in hands or feet, or arthritic pain. Heated in Microwave for maximum time of 2 1/2 minutes will keep your feet toasty and warm for hours. They are lightweight on the top with a polyester filing.

 COMFORT CUSHIONS- HOT OR COLD -  ANKLE  WRAPS

These heat in the microwave in one minute, or cool in fridge/freezer in 15 minutes. Simply wrap them and secure in place with the attached velcro. They have ten pockets to keep them firm and the heat/cold distributed evenly. They not only supply heat or cold, but also keep the wrist or ankle or knee straight to let the heat or cold do its job. They also contain Lavender and mint. They are also available with no scent upon request. See pictures below.

These are smaller in size and great for the wrist. They can be heated or cooled depending on your needs. They are small enough to keep the hand mobile. You are still able to use the computer, knit or talk on the telephone. They heat up in the microwave in 45 seconds, or cooled in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Perfect for anyone having any type of knee problems where heat or cold need to be applied. They not only cover the knee but down the calf and up into the thigh.They have long lasting warmth and cold. They also have lavender and mint for a very relaxing scent. See picture below

COMFORT CUSHIONS - HOT OR COLD - BO BO BAGS FOR CHILDREN

So cuddly and warm, and made just right for children. They may be heated in microwave for 45 seconds or cooled in the fridge or freezer. They contain the wonderful calming scent of lavender and the uplifting scent of mint. For colours and shapes seen below. The calming effect of the lavender helps children fall asleep more quickly and soon the child will be carrying them everywhere like their favourite teddy, or security blanket.

2  . EYE PILLOWS:

Eye pillows promote healing for those who suffer from migraines, headaches, sinus congestion, tired itchy eyes, computer strain or combating anxiety and tension. Having trouble sleeping; not anymore. Place eye pillow in fridge for 15 minutes, or use at room temperature. kneed, put over the eyes, take a few deep breaths and you will feel like you are floating on a cloud. within minutes you will be getting those extra hours of needed sleep. The eye pillow is made extra long to cover the temples as well as the eyes to relieve the throbbing in the temples. They are now available in cotton as well as satin. The eye pillows contain a flaxseed base with the aroma therapeutic ingredients of dried lavender flowers and peppermint leaves. No oils used and therefore no evaporation. They will last you for years. Flaxseed is used as the base due to its size making it very gentle on the eyes and that it holds in the cold. The lavender is calming and known for its help with migraine suffers. The peppermint will open up the sinuses as well as giving you a feeling of well being. The eye pillows are gift boxed and tied with an elastic bow. All include instructions in English and French.

Now available in Eucalyptus Scent. Eucalyptus is great for temporary relief relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and for temporary relief of nasal congestion and coughs associated with a cold. Eucalyptus has been compared to methol because it acts on receptors in the nasal mucosa, which helps to alleviate nasal congestion. The Eucalyptus eye pillows are available in three beautiful colours in Flannel material. They work just as well heated or cooled. If you prefer just kneed them at room temperature as well. See right below for picture. Each one is individually gift packaged, with instructions in English and French and tied with an elastic bow, which can be reused.

3.   LAVENDER SACHETS:

Who doesn't like the lovely scent of lavender. People have been putting lavender sachets in their drawers for years and then throwing them out when they no longer had the lovely scent. Lavender does go dorment if not shaken awake. Rub the sachet between your hands for thirty seconds and the scent is like when you first purchased it. One of the best uses of lavender is for its calming effect and feeling of well being. Just shake it to bring out the properties and put it inside your pillow case, and you will be ready for a good nights sleep. Reshake them every few days. They come in a vibrant array of colours. They are approximately 4 1/2 x 5 inches and they all contain 25 grams of fresh lavender flowers. The sachets are in cotton or flannel material.

(4) TEA TRIVETS
What a wonderful product. Someone should of thought of this sooner.
Put them into the microwave for one minute, sit your coffee cup, tea cup, tea pot, dinner plate or casserole dish on top and will keep your item warm for 20 - 25 minutes. Most people will drink half a cup of their favourite beverage and then sit the cup down on a cold counter. The cup is now getting cold from the top and the bottom. The Tea trivets also change the scent in your microwave after cooking with garlic, curry or any overpowering scent. The lavender mint tea trivet also great in the bathroom. Just put into microwave for 45 sec. to one minute, sit on a shelf in the bathroom, close the door. In just a minute your whole bathroom will have the lovely scent of lavender and mint. You can throw away those spray cans and hazardous candles. Very convenient to use in the office as well. Pop into the microwave for a minute while waiting for your coffee machine, carry back to your desk along with the coffee and no longer drinking warm or cold coffee. That cup of tea or coffee will no longer get cold while sitting waiting for the next commercial break, will save time, energy and money making more of your favourite beverage. The four evenly filled pockets balance your cup or tea pot extremely well.

Those cold drafts that come in through every nick and cranny in windows or doors. These
draft stoppers are all 35 inches in length. They are all 5 inches wide and fit perfectly in a patio
door also any other door or window in the house. They come in a variety of colours, patterns and material. They are all filled with 100 percent polyester non allergenic stuffing, and all mildew proof They are filled with lavender and mint to keep the frosty fridge scent outdoors and the refreshing scent of lavender and mint indoors.
